Dear Charity Fashion Show Supporters,
After three huge years, the story of Charity Fashion Show is coming to a close.
Simply put, Charity Fashion Show pushed boundaries. Body diversity, social equality, and giving back were key components of the magic that has been Charity Fashion Show. Our team occupied the status of "Largest Fashion Show on the West Coast" with a concern for the growth of art in the SF Bay Area, a passion for widespread philanthropy, and a belief in entrepreneurial spirit.
This decision and transition was not an easy one, but it is the best one. Earlier this month we let our domain name www.charityfashionshow.org expire by choice. It was recently purchased by an organization called WhoMentors -- this organization is in no way affiliated with the Charity Fashion Show you have supported annually. We are keeping an archive of the entire CFS website, including all press releases and videos, at www.beyondthedresses.com.
From the initial show on 05.02.09 at Stanford's Roble Field, to the final show on 04.02.11 inside of Festival Pavilion at San Francisco's Fort Mason Center, CFS has always worked to raise the bar of the San Francisco fashion industry. We couldn't be more honored by our recent nomination for Event of the Year at the San Francisco Fashion Awards, which you can vote for at www.sanfranciscofashionawards.com.
We hope CFS is proof of how major corporations, international designers, and the SF Public have not given up on the local fashion scene in this amazing city. We hope CFS inspires younger generations to strive towards huge goals. We hope CFS reminds the SF industry that it is at its best when it innovates together, and when its goals are bigger than its imagination.
With the sincerest gratitude to our supporters, and on behalf of CFS Directors past & present, thank you.
